Small shifts. Profound change.

Diacritics are the marks in language that transform both sound and meaning.

Like the accent in rosé that distinguishes wine from flower, small shifts can make profound change.

At Diacritic Counseling, we listen for those subtle marks of change that transform how we experience our lives and relationships. In therapy, they might look like:

  • Noticing physical tension before emotional reactions escalate

  • Setting a boundary in a relationship

  • Recognizing when past experiences color current perceptions

  • Choosing vulnerability in situations where control was the default response

Each life story has its own unique inflections, its own rhythm and meaning. Like language itself, therapy honors both precision and fluidity - some days we need the clarity of distinct boundaries with ourselves and others, other days we benefit from a flowing connection. We're here to support you in finding the marks and meanings that resonate most deeply with your life.

I’m Eve

I’m a Brooklyn-based psychotherapist seeing clients in both New York City and upstate New York. I bring to my practice a decade and a half of specialized training in how our minds and bodies process difficult experiences. I understand how we can often remain stuck for years in frustrating patterns and challenging emotions with seemingly no way out. The transformational power of therapy helps us discover our innate wisdom, find clear, practical solutions to muddy problems, and move beyond old patterns and find depth, meaning, and balance.

I work with adults and emerging adults of all races, religions, cultures, abilities, genders, sexualities, and relationship structures. I am passionate about fostering a warm and welcoming environment for all clients and building a therapeutic alliance based on consent, trust, and respect.
